The first hole is a very long par 4. Most golfers reach the green in 3 and can make par with a good put.
Great views of Pleasant Mountain and the White Mountains.

The second hole is a downhill par 3 with the green only partially in view. If you land short the ball usually runs down the hill onto the green. Keep away from the left as there is water on that side of the green.

The par 4 3rd hole has 3 hazards. The first is just beyond the tee box and should not be in play. The second is about 190 yards out and requires a tee shot of greater than 220 yards of carry to clear it. The best way to play this hole is to lay up just before this hazard. This leaves about 160 yards to a green that is surround by another hazard on 3 sides. The alternative is to hit your second shot about 40 yards short of the green and then pitch and put for your par.

Retention in Golf Better than Expected

NGF president Joe Beditz presented the results of a GOLF 20/20-commissioned research study regarding retention in golf, at the 20/20 annual conference on November 15. The objectives of the study were to quantify the retention rate of beginners in golf, see how golf’s retention rate compares to other sports and discover whether golf’s retention can be positively affected and, if so, by what factors.
